Product shrinks and price increases.

What a fabulous bakery! We stopped on the way back to Calais. We were hoping to go into the restaurant and have lunch as we probably won't eat again today. But unfortunately our dog was not allowed in and it's too hot to leave her on in the van. So we did a takeaway, pasta dish, cake and a drink each. All for less than 25 euros. Very friendly young man served me and spoke excellent English, whilst I tried my pigeon French! A constant stream of people came for bread, cakes and sandwiches. It all looked delicious!

One Sunday afternoon, returning from Berck: Cold welcome and a very unpleasant young saleswoman. The traditional baguette had a very dense crumb and no taste.

Things aren't improving at this bakery. I already left a negative review about the galettes des rois (king cakes), but this time, it's the Maroilles pizza that's really disappointing me. I just bought one, and it's a disaster: a completely irregular heart shape, very small, and poorly presented. Sure, it's well-filled, but all the ingredients are crammed into the middle. As a result, the edges are practically empty, and the dough hasn't risen properly. For a product sold in a bakery, you expect a minimum of consistency and visual appeal. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. Yet another disappointment that doesn't make me want to come back.

At 8:45 am, the dining area and restrooms hadn't been cleaned since... at least the day before. Disappointing.

Friendly team. Be an early bird.

As regular customers of this bakery, we're never disappointed! The baguettes are so good that we always eat half of them on the way home. And our little treat is the chorizo ​​crackers… so please, never stop making them!!!! They're amazing!! The staff also deserves praise because with the number of customers throughout the day, it must be exhausting, and yet we've always been greeted by kind, patient, and very helpful people! I saw a comment complaining because the person taking the order isn't the one handling the payment… personally, I find that reassuring; one person handling the food, another handling the payment terminal—it seems logical from a hygiene standpoint. One small negative point, though: the counter is a bit too high, and the card reader is starting to look quite old! (And a quick message to the young man who was working on May 8th around 6:30-7:00 PM): He was truly very pleasant, helpful, and patient with a clientele that was sometimes difficult and unfriendly!! Hang in there! I'd like to whack them over the head with chopsticks to show my support, but I'm holding back!

I went in today between 12:30 and 1:00 PM. I placed a small order. The employee put the sandwich next to the register and told their colleague, "My order." In the end, the person in question left, leaving me standing there. I waited while customers filed past behind me. "You were very lucky the order was for a colleague, otherwise I would have stood you up." So, to summarize your way of doing things, one person takes the customer's order, a second person handles the payment if everything is going well, or, like me today, they take the order and then leave the customer standing there. It's been a long time since I've been back to your establishment, and now I understand better why things haven't changed.

Good bread and open on Sundays, which is great.
